All You Restless Souls

All You Restless Souls

All you restless souls sleep tender in this night
Believe in something that traces you back to mankind
Fallen from your tree-houses seconds before the earthquake splintered the ground
The heat and dead grass, whispering crickets and solemn vows I lack

Settle down you restless souls you will never fear for love
Crippled in your hearts, find the one who will put the pieces back together
When dry air caresses your wet skin; rippled muscles twist and bend
You are the blind children from this crooked world I’ll defend

Wake from your slumber restless souls, you will feel the warm embrace of mankind
The second you unlock your hearts with a key made from your mind’s eye
Leave the coffee pot half empty honey; you will never foster my kind
Stammering words of self-doubt and pity into a flood of words unspoken sublime

Feel the walls burst into shards of glass the stone’s throw was a minute too soon
Brace yourselves for the quick witted cuts, scrapes, and bruises
As the walls collapse and fall on you.
Take this kindly to your hearts restless souls, there is one searching for all of you

And when he finds you…
You will sleep no more
And when he finds you…
You will live forever
And when he finds you…

Ghosts you’ll no longer be anymore
Take this back to your vacant graves
Sleep soundlessly he has settled all scores
Upon that cross he shared with no one…
…the pain of all mankind.
